Mother’s Day is just around the corner! My kids love crafts and, thankfully, we have almost all of our children’s grandmothers and great-grandmothers alive to be able to send easy gifts too. With so many wonderful ladies to recognize, it’s great to have an easy Mother’s Day craft on hand to show them how much we care!
We are so fortunate to have very active grandmothers and great-grandmothers in our children’s lives. We get special boxes in the mail for them at random times of the year. Happy cards to wish them well around every holiday and we almost NEVER have to buy clothes or shoes. Our grandmothers take care of it all. We do what we can to send them thank you notes throughout the year, but Mother’s Day gives us a special opportunity to tell them we care.
Easy Mother’s Day Craft Flowers
This easy craft can be made in a couple of minutes. Talk with your kids about their favorite things about their grandmother. These little “love notes” will be perfect sweet words to write on each of the “flowers”.
- craft sticks
- standard size decorative baking cups (I like these)
- mini size baking cups
Start by turning the baking cups inside out so the pretty side is now on the inside of the cup.
Glue one regular size baking cup on to one craft stick. Then glue one mini baking cup on top of the regular size cup.
Write down one wonderful “love note” on each of the flowers you make. Use scissiors to cut slits around the cup to make petals.
Since we have so many grandmothers and great-grandmothers, we made one flower for each of them. You could easily make a bouquet of 3-4 flowers if you are able to hand deliver your flowers.
Tie a ribbon at the bottom of each flower or around the bouquet.

Oh that is beautiful! And you are so lucky to have all your ‘matriarch’ figures in your life. We already had Mother’s Day in the UK but I might have to help the kids make one of those for their Nannies – just because 🙂

A willingness to try more foods while they’re younger can pay off over time when parents try to introduce those foods in meals later on.
So natural and a particularly lovely outcome. Awesome! I’m certain anybody couldn’t want anything more than to get this blessing and the children would all have a particularly great time making it.
