We are always looking for fun ways to entertain the kids over the summer. I had the pleasure of talking with Zachary Opaskar, the creator of Snappets. This is one fun summer activity with dinosaurs for kids you don’t want to miss! Here’s a little about Snappets and how we are going to use them to keep our kids moving this summer.

After watching Zachary’s video on his awesome invention, I was excited to write a review for Snappets. Snappets has great background story and I would love it if you please take a minute to check out what Zachary has to say. He has a KickStarter mission going on to help produce Snappets for us all to enjoy! We would love to have the whole set. They are a lot of fun!

Putting together our Tyrannosaur Snappet was so simple. Avalyn (2) and Samuel (4) found it easy to pop out the flat card stock weight paper dinosaur piece one particularly hot afternoon last week. I did have to help them get the small tabs put together, but after that we were up an running with two brand new dinosaur puppets!

Our first fun activity started with our best Tyrannosaur sound. The kids had a lot of fun with this activity. Some other add on activities we will do with our new Snappets puppets include:

Trip to the local Natural Science Museum: Ours is in Raleigh
DIY Dinosaur Feet
Dig This Dinosaur Fossils Resource Guide
Lots of dinosaur books from the library
Montessori-Inspired Dinosaur Activities by Living Montessori Now

I hope you will take a couple minutes to check out Snappets!
